The Perry Mills Park, located in the Town of Champlain, has been in need of refurbishing for many years. There are approximately 40 children in the immediate area ranging in age from 1 to 12 years old. The residents living close to the Park have committed themselves to do volunteer work to bring the Park back to a condition where young and old can relax and enjoy the outdoors. The Northern Tier Recreation Trail is a Clinton County sponsored project. It has been funded by grants from the Department of Transportation, NY State Waterfront Grant, Senator Betty Little, and Clinton County. The total grant is $1.52 million.
